According to the Yorkville Patch, Tina M. Turner, 32, of Sheridan, was killed Saturday night as the result of a head-on car crash on Route 47 north of Galena Road near Yorkville. The time was approximately 8:41 PM.
An accident report released by authorities states that a Yorkville man, Bradley Anderson, 29, was proceeding south on Route 47 in a Cadillac when the accident occurred. The report makes the allegation that Anderson crossed the center lane on 47, colliding with the vehicle Turner was driving.
Anderson was cited for improperly using a lane. Toxicology results are pending. He was injured in the accident, requiring hospitalization at Good Samaritan.
