JG-TC is reporting that there was six year-old girl in the car Jordan Holly was driving when the Tuesday afternoon occurred. The six year old is still hospitalized. As previously reported, 16 year old Jordan Holly was killed. The Coles County Sheriff’s Office names the girl as Lillian Schuler of Mattoon.
As a previous post noted, a dump truck and a sedan were involved in the wreck at 6478 Lerna Road near Mattoon in Coles County on Tuesday. Jordan Holly was the driver of the sedan. Authorities now say Michael Chaney from Toledo was the dump truck driver, who was unable to stop in time to avoid Holly’s car at the intersection of Lerna Road and Old State Road.
Locals in the area told IllinoisHomePage.net that particular intersection is dangerous, with a long history of accidents.
We will have more information as it becomes available.
