The Shelbyville Union is reporting that two people were received by a local hospital for injuries sustained in an auto wreck one mile east of Shelbyville.
The accident occurred at the intersection of County Road 2200 E and Route 16. It happened on Friday, but the Shelbyville Union does not give a time.
Authorities say Windsor resident, Gerald Cook, 70 was proceeding south on County Road 2200 when he apparently failed to yield to another vehicle. That vehicle was a Dish Network van driven by Sergey Snezkowski, a 32 year old Mattoon resident.
Cook told Shelby County Sheriff’s Office that the sun obscured his vision and that he didn’t see a vehicle nearby.
The two were taken or presented themselves at Good Shepherd Hospital for treatment. The sheriff’s office cited Cook but it was not clear in the article what the citation was for.

When claiming compensation against the party at fault for bodily injury, you may be entitled to a range of things. They could include compensation for medical expenses, lost earnings (which could include future earnings), loss of support and consortium, emotional and psychological pain and suffering and other non-economic losses.
