Ronald Rehling Injured in Car Crash by Suspected DUI Driver on Keslinger Road in Kaneville Township


According to the Aurora Patch, three people were seriously injured in a two vehicle crash that happened Saturday morning.

Authorities say an Aurora woman, Gigiola Akin, 28, has been charged with DUI for a Kaneville Township wreck that sent her and two others with serious injuries to the hospital at approximately 11:00 AM.

Akin’s passenger and her passenger, Jose Garcia, 25, also of Aurora, were proceeding northbound on Dauberman Roadd when their sedan crashed into a pickup driven by 75 year old Ronald Rehling, resident St. Charles. The intersection that the accident happened at was at Dauberman Road and Keslinger Road.

Akin, Garcia, and Rehling were all received by Delnor Hospital with serious injuries. It is not known if the injuries are life-threatening.

Other charges are pending against Akin. These include disobeying a stop sign. The accident investigation is continuing.
