Robert Dean And Three Others Killed in Car Crash on I-55 Near Illinois Route 157 in Collinsville


According to the Edwardsville Intelligencer, three deceased men have been identified as the victims of a two vehicle wreck last week. This according to Madison County Coroner Stephen Nonn.

The accident happened on Friday night on I-55 near Illinois Route 157 in Collinsville.

The dead are Staunton resident Robert Dean, 52; Troy resident Gary Metze, 59; and Collinsville resident Kaylyn McLemore, 29.

The coroner stated that Dean was a passenger in the Nissan Maxima driven by Metze. McLemore was the driver of the Ford Mustang in the crash.

The three were pronounced deceased after midnight. Toxicological test results are pending.

The accident continues to be investigated by the Illinois State Police.
