According to WGEM, three people were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a multiple vehicle crash that occurred on US 54 Near 273d Lane in Pike County. The accident happened north of Pittsfield. The time of the accident was approximately 2:40 PM.

The Illinois State Police reports that Manchester resident Roger L. Daniels, 40, ran into the back of a Jeep on US 54 near 273rd Lane. The Jeep wound up hitting an embankment and all three motorists incurred minor to moderate injuries in this chain-reaction car crash.
