Pedestrian Killed By Cargo Van in the 3900 Block of West 28th Street in Little Village, Chicago

SHARE is reporting that a 45 year old man was struck and killed by a van whose driver failed to yield to the pedestrian.

Authorities say that at approximately 11:30PM, the man in question stepped out between two cars to cross the street in the 3900 block of West 28th Street in Little Village.

Soriano Marco, a 49 year old, resident of South Keeler, was driving a cargo van when he came upon the pedestrian, subsequently hitting him with his van.

The identity of the pedestrian has not been released. Two other vehicles were damaged as the result of this accident.

Marco has been charged with negligent driving, failing to yield to a pedestrian, and not having a driver’s license. He is to appear on August 14th in traffic court.
