Omar Sharif Killed in Workplace Accident at Chicago’s O’Hare International

SHARE is reporting on the death of a Maywood man in a workplace accident at O’Hare International on Wednesday morning.

The accident happened when forty-three year old Omar Sharif was crushed between a tire and a tractor trailer.

The fatality occurred at approximately 3:30 AM at in the 800 block of West O’Hare Avenue. That is within the airport.

An authority with the Chicago police said Sharif was discovered to be unresponsive in the parking lot of a cargo building. Sharif was received by the Resurrection Medical Center and declared as deceased at 4:02 AM. No foul play is suspected and the death has been ruled an accident.

Few additional details are available at this present time. A Department of Aviation declined to answer questions about the accident, referring them instead to the local police.
