The Chicago Sun Times is reporting that a motorcyclist died as the result of a crash with a van Tuesday evening on Nelson Road in DeKalb.
Authorities say that shortly after 10 p.m., a Chevrolet Traverse traveling north on Nelson Road turned left onto Twombly Road in front of a soutbound Honda motorcycle. That motorcycle was driven by Joseph Giuliano, 26, of DeKalb. A crash ensued, killing Giuliano.
The driver of the Traverse, a 49-year old unidentified DeKalb resident, claims she did not see the motorcycle. This according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office says the woman has been charged with failure to yield while turning left.
