According to WIFR, two people were injured in a crash between a motorcycle and a car in Carroll County this morning.
The time of the accident was approximately 11:30 AM. The location was in Shannon, at the intersection of Illinois Route 72 and Shannon Road.
Authorities with the police department state that a car proceeding southbound at Shannon Road failed to yield to a motorcycle carrying two people.
The injured are 58 year old Gordon Vaughn, and his passenger, Mount Morris resident Peggy Janssen, 59. She was received by Mercyhealth after being transported by ambulance. Vaughn was taken by air to the same medical facility.
The driver of the car was Freeport resident Mackenzie Wagner, 25. She was unharmed in the accident. She was cited for failing to yield at a stop intersection.
