KFVS is reporting from Stonefort that officers from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene of a utility task vehicle crash in Saline County that left one dead and three injured. The time was approximately one o’clock in the morning on Saturday.
Representatives with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office state that the deadly accident occurred on Battleford Road, two miles southeast of Stonefort. Joshua Reed, a thirty-six year old resident of Carrier Mills, was declared deceased at the scene by the Saline County Coroner.
Three others were hurt in the wreck of the side by side. They are thirty-three year old Countney Joyner, 33, Michael Perry, also 33, both of them residents of Carrier Mills in Illinois. Both were airlifted to a regional hospital for the care of their injuries. A third rider in the vehicle was Joshua Lewis, 44, of Eldorado, Illinois. He was treated and released at the scene.
The accident investigation into this crash is still ongoing.
