According to the Chicago Sun Times, nine year old Jose Antonio Martinez was killed Monday night as the result of a two vehicle car crash.
Calumet City police state that the accident occurred at Torrence Avenue and Michigan City Road at approximately 5:56 PM.
The Chicago Sun Times article says that a vehicle was southbound on Torrence and in the process of turning east onto Michigan City Road when it collided with a north bound vehicle.
Because of the crash, Martinez suffered grave injuries, passing away at 7:38 OM at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. He was a resident of Hammond, Indiana.
