Jordan Owen Charged With DUI in Cicero Car Crash That Killed Five Year Old Cesar Martinez

This is an update.

39 year old Chicago resident Jordan Owen was charged Tuesday with DUI in connection with the fatal car crash that left five year old Cesar Martinez dead.

Cicero spokesman Ray Hanania stated Woods is being charged with aggravated DUI causing death. Woods was driving south on Laramie Avenue Saturday night when he collided with the vehicle Martinez was in.

Ray Hanania had reported the day before that five year old Cesar Martinez of Chicago died from injuries suffered Saturday night in an automobile crash.

The accident happened at West Roosevelt Road and South Laramie in outlying western Cicero.

Hanania’s previous statement said that Cesar was in a car with many relatives when their vehicle was struck by another car that evening.

Martinez was transported to Maywood’s Loyola University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:06 Sunday evening, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy report released Monday said Cesar died of multiple injuries from the crash.
