Harry Crisp II, the Pepsi Mid-America Chairman and CEO, was injured in a Saturday afternoon car crash involving a semi-truck.
The accident occurred on I-57 at Mile Post 50 in Williamson County at approximately 4:00 PM.
According to the Marion Republican, the 82 year old Crisp was proceeding north on the highway when a semi-truck driven by 70 year old Paris resident Robert Abernathy, swevered into Crisp’s lane while passing.
In striking Crisp’s car, the truck caused Crisp’s vehicle to swerve, leave the roadway, and overturn.
Crisp was received by a local hospital. A passenger in his car was not injured. Abernathy was also not injured.
Abernathy has been cited for improper lane usage and the accident remains under investigation.
