The Independent from the UK is reporting on the death of a young music festival patron in Chicago. Besides the youth’s fatality, some 119 patrons from the concert were hospitalized during the event’s first three days. WLS in Chicago later said that a total of 160 people were hospitalized over the four day event.
The teenager, Evan Kitz-Miller, 16, had attended the Lollapalooza music festival in Grant Park in Chicago on Sunday in scorching conditions. He was received by the Northwestern Medical Hospital in critical condition and subsequently passed away.
Temperatures approached 94 degrees on Sunday, according to ABC7Chicago.com. It can be assumed that Chicago’s summer humidity was present as well. The news outlet also says that authorities have begun an investigation to fix a cause of the teenager’s death. Some reports suggest that he had a seizure.
