The Illinois State Police say the wreck occurred on US Route 40 at Stanford Street in Flora just before 6 o’clock Thursday morning.
Missouri resident Walter Pollock, 65, was traveling east bound on US Route 40 near the intersection of Stanford Street in Flora when he veered into the west bound lane and hit a Chrysler minivan and then a Nissan Utility vehicle.
All cars went off the north side of the roadway. The minivan and the Nissan Utility both became involved in flames killing both of their drivers, Eric Bosel, resident of Noble, Illinois, 29, and a driver yet to be identified.
Pollock was cited for Improper Lane Usage, Driving Under the Influence — Drugs, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
