A man’s life was claimed yesterday in a three vehicle crash in south suburban Chicago Heights. One vehicle was a semi-truck.
The Chicago Sun Times reports that DeAngelo King, 27, died after three vehicles collided at Joe Orr Road and West End Avenue at approximately 5:10 PM.
Authorities say King was driving a Kia Sportage. The reasons behind the wreck are still being investigated, however, King was received by St. James Hospital where he expired at 7:21 AM.
Another victim of the crash, a 38 year old Lynwood woman, was also taken to St. James for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck, a Homewood resident, was sent to the hospital for neck and back concerns.
We will have more information on this as it becomes available.
