The Daily Herald reports that Cassandra Meadors, 14, of Barrington, has died in a two vehicle crash that happened Sunday.
The accident happened on Route 59 in South Barrington.
Authorities say the Barrington High School student was fatally wounded when the car she was a passenger in crossed into traffic coming in the opposite direction.
Authorities say Meadors was in a 2009 Volvo proceeding north on Route 59 at the time of the accident, approximately 3:10PM. The passenger side of the Volo was hit by a 2006 BMW when the Volvo crossed over the center line.
Cassandra was declared deceased at 3:24 p.m.
The condition of any other injured victims is not known.
