KFVS12.com is reporting on the death of a Fairfield, Illinois man after his truck was rammed by a semi-truck that ran a stop sign.
Dead is Brian Cotton 32, the driver of the truck hit by a big rig driven by Steven Vanarkel, a 35 year year old resident of Holt, Missouri.
The Illinois State Police state that Vanarkel failed to stop at the intersection of Enterprise Road and Illinois Route 161 in Wayne County.
The ensuing wreck also injured a passenger of Cotton, 31 year old Cisne, Illinois resident Emery Stutzman.
Cotton was pronounced as deceased at the scene.
The ISP cited Vanarkel for disobeying a stop sign.
