The Chicago Sun Times is reporting that Belal Tebakhi, 41, of Mount Prospect, was killed in a car crash yesterday morning outside of Des Plaines when a vehicle failed to yield.
The accident occurred on North River Road at about 9:30AM. Des Plaines police say a Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling northbound when the driver, Delight Lebel, 77, of Rosemont, turned in front a Mercedes driven by Tebakhi who was driving south.
Tebakhi was pronounced as deceased at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. The Jeep driver, Lebel, was cited for failure to yield while turning left. She is to appear at the courthouse in Skokie on June 12.
