IllinoisHomePage.net says the name of a toddler who died from a car wreck in Decatur on Monday has been released. Her name was Ava Taliferro.
The original report was from WAND, which said a 17 month old girl died as the result of an early Monday morning car crash.
Authorities say the accident occurred about 12:20 AM on Lost Bridge Road near Western Drive. Talifero had been a passenger in an automobile which collided head-on with a pickup truck. The Macon County coroner’s office issued that finding.
Despite being taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, Talifero was pronounced dead at 1:05 a.m. from severe trauma incurred during the crash.
