Chicago.CBSlocal.com reports that Abin Mathew, 26, of Westmont, was killed close to midnight Wednesday by a hit and run driver. Four others were also injured.
The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office says Mathew was a passenger in a Nissan traveling southbound on Route 83. Another vehicle pulled out in front of it from Mockingbird Lane. The two vehicles struck each other and Matthew was killed. The other four in the Nissan have unspecified injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle left the scene. Police say he is Marion Myles of Willowbrook, age 19. Authorities say he caused the accident and are charging him with fleeing the scene. He is to be in court Friday.
